Sih Rice (Veggi and meat rice)

Hello my friends, I’m not a big fan of rice, but this recipe definitely reconciled me with it. it is my beloved cousin who gave me this recipe, and besides, I baptized it with her nickname; and since it is an integral part of my monthly menu.

It is very fast to make and so delicious. The secret to having a good rice that does not stick is to soak it in water for at least 30 minutes; for basmati rice it is 2H, so that the rice is released from its starch, because it is what makes the rice once cooked sticks.

Riz au légumes et viande hachée

Ingredients (6 people) :

  • 1 Glass of basmati rice, or long rice
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 pepper
  • Ground meat
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 Cardamom
  • 4 cloves

Preparation:

  • Dip your rice in water for at least 30 minutes
  • Cook rice in salted water with cloves and cardamom
  • Brown the chopped onion in an oiled frying pan
  • Add the grated carrot, and the pepper cut into thin slices, salt and pepper
  • Cover, and let it melt on low heat
  • Put in a dish and book
  • In the same pan, sauté the minced meat, salt and pepper
  • Add to the vegetables
  • Still on the same pan, make scrambled eggs, salt and pepper
  • Add to the rest of the mixture
  • Once the rice is cooked, mix it with the other ingredients
